Introducing Community Heights, A First-of-Its-Kind Housing Resource Center for Whitfield County

Families with children are living in unsafe motels because Dalton has no emergency shelter for families. Community Heights will change that by providing safe, affordable rooms and a central resource hub for nonprofits to provide housing-related services.

“The DWCDC has made a real difference in my family’s life. Having stable housing gave us the chance to breathe, reset, and focus on moving forward instead of just surviving day to day. Their support and structure helped us regain stability and hope for the future. Because of them, we are finally in a position to get back on our feet and work toward long-term independence.”
