Meet Our Team
Reed Fincher
Reed Fincher has served as executive director of the Dalton-Whitfield Community Development Corporation since 2020, bringing unique experience in both local development and community affairs. In the past three years, he has doubled the agency’s revenue while tripling its number of individuals served, making smart use of grant funds to assist as many people as possible. In his work, he strives to make Dalton a more connected place by giving all people the opportunity to live in and contribute to community.

Marlene Alfaro
Marlene Alfaro joined the Dalton-Whitfield Community Development Corporation in 2011, where she has served as housing counselor since 2012. In that time, she has helped hundreds of households find or maintain owner-occupied housing, strengthening neighborhoods by increasing the rate of homeownership and decreasing that of foreclosure. As a housing counselor, she enjoys helping people overcome barriers to homeownership to achieve long-term housing stability for themselves and their families.

Karen Sutton
Karen Sutton joined the Dalton-Whitfield Community Development Corporation in 2017, where she has served as permanent supportive housing specialist since 2020. She previously worked for the Northwest Georgia Family Crisis Center for twenty years, where she assisted women and children in need of emergency shelter. As permanent supportive housing specialist, she connects disabled, homeless adults to affordable housing, and provides ongoing case management to ensure their long-term success.

Mayvit Corbin
Mayvit Corbin joined the Dalton-Whitfield Community Development Corporation in 2024, where she serves as health support housing specialist. In that role, she helps low-income people with challenging health conditions find and maintain stable housing, and provides ongoing case management to ensure long-term housing stability. With a background in social work, she tirelessly advocates for her clients and assists them in achieving positive outcomes in both housing and health.
